You want a hardwired unit with ACC detection, a relay output for fuel or ignition cut, and enough blind-spot log storage that a tunnel or a dead cell does not leave a hole in the trip report.

The GT10 and GX7 are the usual fleet choices; the J11 adds a backup server IP if the primary endpoint fails.

• Ask for ACC detection so ignition-on and ignition-off events are in every upload, not inferred from speed
• Specify a relay control line only if your installers are trained to fit it safely
• GT10 stores 2000 blind-spot records; J11 caches during signal loss and resends automatically when the network returns
• Pair the trackers with 4G dashcams and MDVRs when the customer also needs video evidence

White-label reseller building recurring revenue

Your economics depend on one device family you can support well, not on fourteen SKUs. Pick one hardwired model and one battery model, brand both, and add a third only when a customer pays for it.

Auto-finance, BHPH and lease-to-own lender

Recovery work needs a hidden hardwired unit, a tamper or power-cut alarm that fires within seconds, and a second device for the cases where the first is found.

The GX7 and H8 both report tamper, fall-detection and power-cut alarms; a battery unit such as the W07 makes a good silent backup. See auto finance and BHPH for the workflow.

• Power-cut alarm on the primary device, Hall-effect tamper alarm on the backup
• Relay control should be a policy decision, not a default: confirm local law on remote engine disable before you enable it
• Ask for a custom serial-number prefix so devices in the field map to loan accounts

Asset owner: generators, containers, trailers and boats

Unpowered assets need battery capacity and an ingress rating, not I/O. The question is how long between charges you can tolerate and whether the asset sits in sunlight.

The W10 carries a 3.7V/6000mAh cell at IP65; the GT76 carries 20000 mAh; the solar Y8 and Y9 are IP67 for outdoor and marine work.

• Magnetic mount removes the installer cost entirely on steel assets
• Match the ingress rating to the environment: IP65 for sheltered, IP67 for exposed and marine
• Longer reporting intervals buy standby time; set the interval per customer, not per factory default

Importer or distributor stocking a range

Stock breadth beats depth in a new market, up to a point. Three or four SKUs across hardwired, OBD and battery covers most enquiries without stranding capital.

First orders are often a mixed trial batch so you can validate the hardware before committing to volume; read importing GPS trackers from China and the MOQ guide before you place it.

• Hold replacement stock at roughly 3-5 percent of units in the field for warranty swaps

LTE band planning by region

Several models ship as region variants that differ only in the cellular module firmware and the bands it exposes. Getting this wrong is the single most common cause of a batch that registers on 2G but never attaches to LTE.

The GT06 and C30 band sets are published as three variants. SA covers LTE-FDD:B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B28/B66 with GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, E covers LTE-FDD:B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20 with GSM 900/1800MHz, and C covers LTE-FDD:B1/B3/B5/B8 plus LTE:TDD:B34/B38/B39//B40/B41. The GT10 is published with the SA and E variants only.

The H9 uses the same idea with different labels: EC200A-CN for China and Asia, EC200A-EU for Europe, EC200A-LA for the Americas. The GT28 wearable is published as Model A and Model B. Choosing between our platform and your own

If you already run a server, keep it and point the devices at your endpoint. If you are starting from zero, a white-label platform removes a year or more of engineering before you have a paying customer.

The trade-offs are set out in the platform comparison, and the device firmware is the same either way, so the decision is reversible.

Fleet management and logistics

Commercial fleets need ignition-accurate trip data, speed and geofence alarms, and route playback clean enough to settle a customer dispute. Hardwired units with ACC detection and inflexion upload produce that; battery units do not.

Cold-chain and long-haul operators typically add a sensor on a serial port, which is where the H8 TTL/RS485 channel earns its place. See fleet management and logistics and cold chain.

Vehicle finance, rental and BHPH

Here the tracker is collateral protection, so the failure mode that matters is a device found and removed. Fit a hidden hardwired primary plus a magnetic secondary, with tamper and power-cut alarms on both.

Rental fleets that rotate vehicles quickly prefer the OBD C30 because it needs no installer visit. See auto finance and BHPH and car rental.

Motorcycle, two-wheeler and delivery fleets

Two-wheelers punish size and vibration tolerance more than cars do, and the space is usually under the seat next to a hot component. Small, low-current, wide-voltage units survive this.

Unpowered assets, marine and heavy equipment

Generators, containers, trailers, plant and small vessels have no reliable power and often no installer. Battery capacity, ingress rating and mounting method are the whole specification.

Solar models change the economics outdoors: the Y8 and Y9 top up in daylight instead of coming back for a charge. Marine buyers should note the Y9 capsizing alarm and water-drop detection.

• Recommended: GT76 and W10 for sheltered assets, Y8 and Y9 for exposed and marine assets
• Specify: reporting interval per customer, ingress rating, magnet or bracket mount, removal alarm
• Full range: asset trackers and portable trackers

Products across the range are manufactured to CE, FCC, PTCRB, IC, RoHS, REACH and ISO 9001 standards. Which certificates apply to a specific SKU depends on the model, so ask for the file set for the models you are buying.

Warranty and returns

All devices carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects, with firmware updates, spare parts and technical integration support included. Volume accounts get a named engineer.

Unopened stock can be returned within 30 days; the buyer pays return shipping and a restocking fee may apply. Custom and white-label production is non-returnable, which is exactly why the sample step exists.

Factory visit

Partners are welcome to visit the Shenzhen facility and see the SMT line, the assembly and testing workshops, the R&D lab and the sample room. Contact us about a week in advance and we can arrange airport pickup; if a visit is not practical, ask for the pre-shipment QC report and inspection documents for your order.
