Why Choose كاميرا سيارة 4G و MDVR?
Key Features
Buyer guide
SKYWONDER manufactures 4G dash cams and mobile DVRs in Shenzhen, from single-channel cloud cameras up to 8-channel AI MDVRs with ADAS, DMS and BSD. Dashcams and MDVRs report on JT/T 808, so live video, GPS position and driver alerts arrive in one platform alongside our GT06 trackers. MOQ is 50-100 units depending on the model, white-label starts at 100 units, and samples ship within 5-7 business days by express courier.
How to choose a 4G dash cam or MDVR
Channel count is the first decision, and the vehicle decides it, not the budget. A sedan needs one or two views, a rigid truck four, a coach or multi-axle trailer six to eight.
The second decision is AI. ADAS watches the road, DMS (also written DSM) watches the driver and BSD watches the blind spots; all three run on the device and alert the cab before the event reaches your server.
The third decision is retention. Card size and channel bitrate set how many days of footage you can retrieve a week later, so size it with the dashcam storage calculator before quoting a fleet.
Taxi and ride-hailing: 1-2 channels
Ride-hailing operators need a road view, a cabin view and a way to pull a clip when a passenger disputes a fare. Two channels and a cab screen are enough; an MDVR is over-specified and hard to hide.
The A3, A5 and A18 fit here. All three record front and rear together with remote live preview, and the A5 and A18 both support two-way voice talk.
- 2K front and 720P rear or cabin is the practical baseline for reading plates and faces.
- A screen matters here: drivers check it, and a visible camera changes passenger behaviour.
- Choose parking monitoring if the cars are owner-operated and parked on the street overnight.
- Add an OBD tracker only for engine data; the dash cam GPS covers the trip log.
Light commercial vans and pickups: 2 channels plus ADAS and DMS
Delivery vans, service pickups and last-mile fleets are where driver behaviour costs real money. The value here is the in-cab warning, not the recording: a fatigue or following-distance alert prevents the claim you would otherwise watch back.
The D2, D3 and D11 sit in this band. The D11 runs ADAS and DSM from one housing; BSD is not standard and needs an external camera.
- Decide which AI alerts you will score. Most fleets start with fatigue, phone use and forward collision, then add lane departure.
- DMS needs a clear view of the face; check the mounting angle on each van model before volume.
- ADAS calibration is per vehicle class and we set the default at the factory. Background: ADAS and DMS on a 4G dashcam.
Trucks and buses: 4-8 channel MDVR
Past three camera positions, road, cabin, left, right, rear, cargo, the dash cam form factor runs out of inputs and you move to an MDVR mounted under a seat or in a locked cabinet.
The WD10 4-channel, WD10 8-channel and WD11 cover this tier: the WD10 pairs a 256GB SD card with a 2TB SSD or hard disk, and the WD11 carries RS232 and RS485 interfaces for fuel sensors and card readers.
- Budget one channel per camera you will review; enabled channels consume storage whether or not anyone watches.
- Hard disk plus SD card gives a local archive that survives card failure on long trips.
- Use RS485 fuel sensors so theft and video share one timeline in the platform.
- For a surround view, the W108 360 MDVR stitches fisheye cameras into a bird-view image.
School bus
School transport buys on accountability: who boarded, who drove, what the driver was doing. That means road, driver, door and saloon cameras, plus passenger counting.
The WD11 adds 4-door passenger counting alongside ADAS and BSD; the W108 adds face-recognition start authorisation so an unauthorised driver cannot move the bus.
- Passenger counting is an AI channel, not a sensor, allow for it when planning channels.
- Face-recognition authorisation doubles as driver attendance for the depot.
- Indian operators should read the AIS-140 compliance guide and our school bus solution first.
- We do not certify individual SKUs to AIS-140; we supply samples and documentation for your local approval.
Mining, construction and heavy plant
Off-road vehicles break consumer hardware. Vibration, dust, 24V systems and long idling shifts are the normal case, so specify wide-voltage input, an industrial housing and dual storage.
The D12 5-channel takes 9-36V with reverse-polarity protection, holds an SD card up to 1TB plus an optional SSD, and keeps recording for 10-15 minutes on backup battery after a power cut. For a single retrofit position, the IP67 S202 is the smaller option.
- Most of this range is rated -20 to +70 degrees C; check that against your site.
- Blind-spot detection earns its place on articulated plant and mixers before anywhere else.
- Where coverage is patchy, buffer locally and sync over depot WiFi. Estimate SIM cost with the data usage calculator.
Model comparison: 19 dash cam and MDVR SKUs
Every value below comes from the published datasheet for that SKU. A dash means the specification is not published for that model, ask for the test report rather than assuming the feature is absent.
Two notes. The A3 and A5 share a hardware platform and differ in app behaviour, not optics; the WD10 4-channel and 8-channel units share one radio, positioning and storage design, so channel count is the only choice between them.

Platform, protocol and software
Hardware is half the product. A 4G dash cam only earns its keep when video, GPS trail and AI alerts reach an operator who can act, which means device protocol and platform have to match.
Our dashcams and MDVRs report on JT/T 808, the standard used across commercial vehicle video, with JT/T 1078 for the video stream on models such as the WD02. Our GPS trackers report on GT06. Both land in the same platform.
Traqcare: the included platform
Traqcare is our platform on web, iOS and Android, white-labelled with your brand and domain. Reseller and end fleet work from the same interface.
- Live tracking, trip playback, alerts and geofences
- Fuel management and scheduled reports
- Device management and user roles for multi-tenant resellers
- White-label branding on web and both mobile apps
- Connects to your own platform or ours, see our developer notes
Third-party platforms
If you already run a platform, our devices connect without a custom port: Traccar, Wialon, Navixy and GPS-Trace are supported as shipped.
Still choosing? Compare the top white-label GPS tracking platforms for 2026, and see what we bundle with hardware in the software overview.
Sizing storage and data before you quote
Two numbers decide whether a video fleet is profitable: days of footage on the card, and cellular data per vehicle per month. Both move sharply with channel count and codec.
H.265 models such as the D12 and W108 produce smaller files than H.264 at the same resolution, lowering both card pressure and monthly data.
- Work out retention per channel with the dashcam storage calculator.
- Work out the SIM plan with the 4G dashcam data usage calculator.
- Keep live streaming on demand rather than continuous; continuous streaming is what wrecks a SIM budget.
- Where a depot has WiFi, let the device offload there, several models support AP and STA WiFi as well as 4G.
OEM, ODM and white-label checklist
Many resellers ship our dashcams under their own brand. Work through the checklist below before you request a quote: every item changes tooling, firmware or lead time, and settling them up front keeps a first run on schedule.
We manufacture in Shenzhen on our own SMT line with a 30-plus engineer R&D team, so firmware, protocol fields and AI thresholds are ours to change. See our factory profile.
- Brand marks. Logo by silk screen, laser engraving or moulding; housing and button colour.
- Packaging. Retail-ready box, inserts, manual and quick start guide in your languages.
- Identity. Custom serial prefix so warranty claims trace back to your batch.
- Connectivity. Pre-configured APN and server IP, so units register to your platform on first power-up.
- Protocol. JT/T 808 field mapping, or GT06 alignment if you run mixed hardware.
- AI tuning. ADAS and DMS sensitivity profiles set for your vehicle class.
- Voice prompts. In-cab alert language and wording for Spanish, Portuguese, Hausa or Hindi-speaking fleets.
- App and platform. White-label Traqcare web and mobile apps on your domain, see the reseller programme and white-label guide.
- Certification. Name the import market early; we supply samples and documentation for approvals such as ANATEL in Brazil or TRA in the UAE. The range is built to CE, FCC, PTCRB, IC, RoHS, REACH and ISO 9001, see certifications.
- Spares. Agree camera, cable and bracket spares in the same order; a later top-up costs a second freight leg.

Four applications where the numbers work
Long-haul trucking and cold chain
Line-haul operators use video for two things: defending disputed collisions, and cutting the fatigue events that cause the expensive ones. A 4-channel MDVR covering road, cabin, trailer and rear does both.
Add an RS485 fuel-level sensor to the WD11 and the same recorder carries tank data on the video timeline, the combination logistics and cold chain buyers ask for.
- Specify: WD10 4-channel or WD11 with a driver-facing camera.
- Storage: the WD10 takes a 256GB SD card plus a 2TB disk; the WD11 takes two 512GB SD cards.
- Alerts to prioritise: fatigue, forward collision and headway monitoring.
- Pair with a hardwired vehicle tracker as a redundant position source on high-value loads.
Buses, coaches and school transport
Passenger transport is a headcount problem as much as a safety one. Six to eight channels cover door, aisle, road, driver and blind spots, and passenger counting closes the loop on boarding disputes.
Face-recognition start authorisation on the W108 also gives depots an attendance record and blocks unauthorised driving.
- Specify: WD10 8-channel for coaches, WD11 for 4-door counting.
- Blind spot detection matters most on urban routes with cyclists and pedestrians.
- Indian school operators should start from the AIS-140 school bus solution; an 8-channel bus streaming live is the heaviest SIM profile in this range.
Ride-hailing, taxi and car rental
Unit economics are tight and the install has to be fast, so a two-channel windscreen camera beats a boot-mounted recorder. What matters is remote clip retrieval and a visible deterrent in the cabin.
Rental operators pair the camera with a hidden tracker for recovery; see car rental and, for finance portfolios, auto finance and BHPH.
- Specify: A3, A5 or A6 for volume, A9 where image quality sells.
- Two-way voice is the feature dispatchers use most here, and parking monitoring covers overnight damage on owner-operated cars.
- Retail-facing resellers can cross-sell from the dash cam buying guide and the car dash camera guide.
Construction, mining and municipal fleets
Plant, tippers, mixers and refuse trucks work in dust and vibration with large blind spots and constant reversing, which makes surround view and BSD the features that pay for themselves first.
Wide-voltage input and an industrial housing are not optional here; the D12 covers both.
- Specify: D12 or W108, plus S202 for single-position retrofits.
- Confirm operating temperature against site conditions before volume, and use depot WiFi offload where cellular coverage is poor.
- Combine with rugged asset trackers on towed plant and generators.
How to order samples and move to production
Sampling a dash cam is not the same as sampling a tracker. You are testing night image quality, AI false-positive rates on your roads and platform behaviour on your SIM, so allow two to three weeks of real driving.
Order two units of each shortlisted model, and fit them to your worst case: the oldest truck, the noisiest cabin, the longest night route.
- 1
Send the requirement
Send vehicle types, channel count, target market and quantity band through contact. Naming the import market now decides bands and documentation.
- 2
Receive the quotation
You get unit configuration, tooling, shipping options and payment terms. Standard terms are T/T with a 30 percent deposit and the balance before shipment; cards and PayPal for samples.
- 3
Order 3-10 samples
Samples ship within 5-7 business days by express courier. Take 3-10 units so you can test several models on the same route.
- 4
Run a field test
Check plate legibility at night, DMS behaviour with sunglasses and at dusk, ADAS false positives on your road markings, and card retention. Log every alert type you plan to bill for.
- 5
Agree customisation
Lock branding, packaging, APN and server settings, AI thresholds and voice prompt language, plus any white-label Traqcare and integration work.
- 6
Place the production order
In-stock models ship in 3-7 days; custom or high-volume runs take 15-25 days after deposit. First-time importers should read importing GPS trackers from China.
- 7
Inspection and shipping
We run a final QC inspection and can accommodate a third-party inspection. Shipping is FOB Shenzhen or CIF to your port, with commercial invoice, packing list, HS codes and certification documents.
Test before you commit
Order 3–10 sample units and evaluate them on your own platform or on Traqcare before placing a production order.
Production and quality control
SKYWONDER Technology was established in 2011 and manufactures in Shenzhen from a 5,000-plus square metre facility with 200-plus staff, including 30-plus R&D engineers. Annual capacity is 20 million units, shipped to more than 50 countries.
We run our own SMT line rather than subcontracting assembly, which is why firmware and AI changes are possible at OEM volumes. Optical and X-ray inspection of BGA components run in line, at a 99.7 percent first-pass yield.
- SMT. High-speed pick-and-place, reflow ovens with a nitrogen atmosphere, AOI and X-ray inspection.
- Assembly. Housing and cable routing, firmware flashing and configuration.
- Signal testing. GPS cold and hot start verification plus cellular connectivity checks on every unit.
- Environmental testing. Waterproof testing on IP65 and IP67 models, drop testing and vibration testing.
- Batch testing. In-line SMT testing, aging tests and a pre-shipment QC report per batch.
- Standards. CE, FCC, PTCRB, IC, RoHS, REACH and ISO 9001; region test reports on request.
- Warranty. A 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, with firmware updates, integration support and spares.
- Factory visits. Partners are welcome in Shenzhen with about a week of notice; we can arrange pickup from Baoan (SZX) or Hong Kong (HKG).
Buying questions
What is the minimum order quantity for a 4G dash cam or MDVR?
MOQ is 50-100 units per model depending on the product, and white-label orders start at 100 units. For a first order we can arrange a smaller mixed-model trial batch so you can validate hardware before committing to volume, see the MOQ guide.
How many channels do I actually need?
Count the camera positions you will review, not the ones you could install. Taxis need one or two, vans two plus ADAS and DMS, rigid trucks four, coaches six to eight. Past three positions a dash cam becomes an MDVR such as the WD10.
Which protocol do the dashcams and MDVRs use, and will they work with my platform?
Dashcams and MDVRs report on JT/T 808, with JT/T 1078 for video on models such as the WD02; trackers use GT06. Devices work with Traccar, Wialon, Navixy and GPS-Trace without a custom port, and with Traqcare on web, iOS and Android.
What is the difference between ADAS, DMS and BSD?
ADAS faces the road and warns about forward collisions, lane departure, pedestrians and following distance. DMS (also written DSM) faces the driver and detects fatigue, smoking, phone use and distraction. BSD watches the sides and rear. The D12 and W108 run all three.
Can I order samples before a bulk order?
Yes. Samples of 3-10 units ship within 5-7 business days by express courier. Take two units per shortlisted model so you can compare night image quality and AI false positives on the same route.
How long is production and what is the warranty?
In-stock models ship in 3-7 days. Custom or high-volume runs take 15-25 days after the deposit, depending on quantity and customisation. All devices carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects, plus firmware updates and integration support.
What is your returns policy?
Unopened stock items can be returned within 30 days; the buyer pays return shipping and a restocking fee may apply. Custom and white-label production is non-returnable, which is why we recommend a sample round before a branded run.
Do you support certification for my market?
The range is manufactured to CE, FCC, PTCRB, IC, RoHS, REACH and ISO 9001 standards, and we provide test reports for local approvals such as ANATEL in Brazil or TRA in the UAE. We do not claim per-model national certification on your behalf, see certifications and the FAQ.
